Zion Thompson is currently working toward his A.A. at the State College of Florida, where he is studying musical theater. Zion has been with Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe since 2018, when he started his journey at WBTT’s Stage of Discovery summer camp.
Black Nativity is Zion Thompson’s second main stage performance at WBTT, his first being August Wilson’s Fences in 2025. Zion has performed with State College Of Florida, Westcoast Black Theater Troupe, Sarasota Players, and Manatee Performing Arts Center. He has appeared in Children of Eden (Cain), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Neville Landless), Into the Woods (Jack), Pass Over (Kitch), Parade (Riley), and Fences (Cory).
