JOY KING is a Florida-based vocalist and theatre artist whose powerful mezzo-soprano voice has been featured on stages including the White House, NPR, and the Kennedy Center. Aformer U.S. State Department cultural envoy to Egypt, she brings authenticity and emotional depth to both concert and dramatic performance. Joy is thrilled to have been cast as Silver in Paradise Blue and to join the cast of Purlie as a featured soloist and understudy for the role of Missy with the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe’s 2025–2026 season.
