Jai Shanae is a multi-talented artist whose work spans theatre, film, and commercial media. Jai’s most recent works include: Passing Strange, Cadillac Crew (The Studio@620), Fat Ham, Hair, and Ragtime (American Stage).
Other regional credits include Marvin Gaye: Prince of Soul (Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe), Jelly’s Last Jam (International Black Theatre Festival), Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Broadway Rose Theatre).
Grounded in community and people-first storytelling, Jai is drawn to stories with resilience and just enough fire to challenge, inspire, and heal—creating work that centers women, celebrates humanity, and leaves audiences feeling seen.
