Chris Caswell has performed in leading roles in musicals and dramas in the Sarasota area for over 45 years and is happy to finally perform with WBTT. Favorite roles include: Sweeney Todd (Handy Award for Best Actor Musical); Richard Nixon (Frost/ Nixon – Handy Award nominee Best Actor Play); Dan in Next to Normal; Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird); Don Quixote (Man of La Mancha). Recent roles: Henry Higgins (My Fair Lady); Joe Josephson (Merrily We Roll Along); Milton Perry (The Immigrant); and Side By Side By Sondheim and Forbidden Broadway. The Captain continues his casting in hateful, racist, misogynistic and anti-semitic roles such as Sweeney Todd, Richard Nixon, Milton Perry, Hannibal Lecter (Silence, The Musical), The Old Soldier (Parade) and Judas (Jesus Christ Superstar), but he believes that is because of his acting ability and not his personality!
