Derric Gobourne Jr. made his acting debut in 2013 in The Best of Stevie Wonder and later starred in roles such as Seaweed J. Stubbs in Hairspray.

A Broadway World “Dancer of the Decade” and Manasota Honors “Musical Artist of the Year,” Derric Gobourne Jr. has been recognized by legends such as Bobby Brown, Teddy Riley, and Rodney Jerkins.
He is thrilled to return to WBTT, bringing his signature soul, energy and excitement to the mainstage in Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity.
