At just 17, JC McIntyre is making his first professional performance with the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe.
His history with this organization is one he is very proud of, dating back to his younger years. Following his audition submission, McIntyre was accepted into WBTT’s Stage of Discovery program at the young age of 9. He has been a permanent staple of this program ever since.
Some of his performances include Broadway in Black Jr., Folktale Follies, We Dream, Make Room for Me, FAME, and Alice in Boogie Wonderland.
JC McIntyre is also an alumnus of the Sarasota Youth Opera, with whom he completed four years of training. He enjoys performing through song, dance, and acting—and he doesn’t stop there: he is also a professional musician. He has been playing the drums since he was five years old. In recent years, has also embraced playing the bass. JC’s musical performance credits include House of Harmony, among other contemporary music projects, as well as his current duet, Jamz Musiq, part of the One-Stop Wedding Shop, along with other artistic endeavors. A worship leader, JC sings, plays the drums, and inspires young people to use their talents, work hard, and live for a higher purpose.
In the summer of 2026, JC, who is dually enrolled as a high school senior and a college student, will receive his high school diploma from Manatee School for the Arts and an Associate’s Degree from State College of Florida, majoring in Cybersecurity. He then intends to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree in an additional Computer Science discipline. JC holds membership in several bands and groups, performing throughout the Tampa Bay area as a singer and drummer.
