JAMES HARKNESS is thrilled and humbled to be a part of this production. He is an accomplished artist having the pleasure of performing and creating across the platforms of stage and film. Harkness recently appeared on Broadway in Beautiful-The Carole King Musical and performed alongside Betty Buckley in Grey Gardens: The Musical. Stage credits include Aida, Guys and Dolls, Chicago, Dreamgirls, and Smokey Joe's Café. Film credits include The Maids Room and The Mend (actor/choreographer). Creative credits include: Golden Boy; Memphis; Leap Of Faith, where he was blessed to assist some amazing choreographers/directors; The Wiz; and The Color Purple - as choreographer under the direction of two inspiring directors. He has been a part of The Color Purple since its world premiere in Atlanta and then on Broadway. Harkness has been an actor, choreographer, and now director. This show continues to give to his life as he hopes it gives to yours.
