Mondays, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, beginning February 17, 2025

Unlock the fundamentals of basic acting technique in WBTT's 7-week workshop, designed for beginners and those refreshing their skills. Throughout the course, you’ll understand how to use stage geography to enhance storytelling, explore acting techniques inspired by renowned theatre practitioner, Uta Hagen, and master the basics of action and objective through improvisation. Much of the focus will be on solo exploration, helping participants draw from their own lives to create truthful performances on stage. These techniques will then be applied to “open scene” work, demonstrating the connection between practice and performance. Expect about two hours of weekly preparation outside class. While there is no final audience showcase, there will be plenty of opportunities for in-class demonstrations. We hope this workshop will strengthen your technique and ignite your passion for acting. Join us and begin your stage journey!
